I spent about 6 months recording a CD album of early 1950's hit songs.  When it was done, the arranger/singer Jason Stone got the financing to do a musical DVD using the songs.  Over the summer of 2009, I shot and edited the DVD for him.

The street scenes were shot at night in Murray, Utah.  The restaurant scenes were shot at Donovan's Steakhouse in Salt Lake City.  The rest of the DVD was shot in my studio using green screen.  These were composited to form the setting, a dinner club from the 1950's.

The big band on stage wasn't really a big band.  There were 3 players plus the singers.  There wasn't really a stage, either.  It was digitally created.

The dance floor and restaurant setting were also digital composites.
